Aaron's first bus ride

Aaron was so excited to get on the bus. He still loves riding the bus.
Such a big boy made to look so small getting on the bus!

September 10, 2010 - Aaron's first day of kindergarten

I dropped off Aaron and picked him up on this first day. He cried all the way home because he wanted to ride the bus. He has riden the bus ever since. :)

Matt's first football game at Tahoma Sr. High

The kids made Matt a cape for his first game, which he happily wore.

Yep, Madison slept through it

Our temporary new home in Maple Valley

Our amazing rental...thanks to some connections in Matt's new school district we are renting this huge 5,000 sqft house on nearly 7 acres! The big catch is that it to is on the market and has been for nearly a year and could sell at anytime. Agh.

One of my favorite features is this big deck off the main floor of the house. The deck is fully enclosed, so I don't have to worry so much about elk, deer, bear, bob cat, cougar and coyotes (all of which have been seen on the property).

The boys love the trampoline...it scares me, but so far so good.
There is also a play house...a little over grown and the spiders like it.
After a good sweep out...the boys played in it.
Love this picture. Looks like Ry is calling everyone in for dinner while Aaron lounges on the porch.
The first three weeks at the house we let the dogs roam the property. They LOVED it...that came to a quick end when I had to drive miles away to pickup Squires. No more romping, sadly. The lady who had found Squires warned me of all of the dangerous wild life that roams our backyard (coyotes, bear, bob cat and cougar) and suggested that we don't let our animals roam.

Part of our rental agreement is that we maintain the grounds, all 7 acres. It took us 6 hours on the riding lawn mower the first mow. Matt now has it down to 5 hours.
Yep, that elk is in our backyard. I counted 6 points on his rack! Geesh! We have had a great time watching the elk in the yard. We had had up to six at a time.
Taking a drink out of a Home Depot bucket. Ha, ha.
Mom and baby
The boys love watching them.

Moving...Labor Day weekend...with a 3 week old (yikes)...THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!!! :)

As most of you know, Matt accepted a new job in Maple Valley, WA. Our house has been on the market since he accepted the job mid-May, it hasn't sold but we have decided that we can't live apart (we tried for nearly three weeks).  We have been blessed with an amazing rental...and made the move Labor Day weekend with lots of help!!! We were only partly packed due to Matt being in Maple Valley up until the move and that we had just had Madison.  Thank you, thank you to everyone who helped us move!! We could not have done it without you!!!!
Moving our piano...it took 6 guys!

 Rod passed out with Madison

Our empty house... tear... ready for our new adventure!

A visit from Konstanze and Notker

Konstanze and Notker visted us from Germany! Matt and I hosted Konstanze on a GAPP (German exchange) exchange in September and October 2004. We have kept in communication ever since.  (Thanks again, for the adorable puppy shoes for Madison!)
